What’s the origin of this podcast?
When Karen Kane and Beth Bacon created the picture book Alphabuddies: G Is First, they envisioned an entire world where letter come to life and grapple with social-emotional issues. Because they’re letters, their world—and their conversations and their challenges—revolve around literacy concepts.
Tell me more about upcoming episodes.
Our goal is to make an episode featuring each letter of the alphabet — and some punctuation marks and numbers, too.
Where can I find the podcast?
Right now, the podcast episode is in Beta testing. You can download them from the Episodes page on this website. Soon they will be available on all of the major podcast platforms.
How can I use this podcast in the classroom?
We intend to create lesson plans that teachers and educators and even parents can use to turn these stories into hands-on learning experiences. Stay tuned.
Do you have a book version of these stories?
We plan on making each episode into a stand-alone book. The vision is to design the stories in graphic novel format. Let us know what you think.
